Naomi B. Felblinger, age 86, of Oxford passed away at Presbyterian Manor of Rolla, Missouri on the morning of Wednesday, October 16, 2013, where she had been a resident for about three years. Born on September 8, 1927, in Oxford, Ohio to Howard and Rosabelle (Sheard) Beal, she considered herself to be a lifelong Oxford resident. She was a 1945 graduate of McGuffey High School. On May 29, 1953 she married Ralph Felblinger in Oxford. She was employed at the bookstore located in the Center of Miami University, where she ran the post office and card counters. A favorite of many students and staff, she retired in the early 1990s after almost 30 years of service as “the lady with the smile”. Outside of work, she enjoyed gardening, watching birds and wildlife outside her country home, serving others, and petting and playing with her cats and dogs, and served as an advisor for the Oxford 4-H Hoofprinters for 6 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a very active member of the Oxford United Methodist Church and a leader in the United Methodist Women. Once coming to Rolla in 2009, she regularly attended the First United Methodist Church, and enjoyed long “walks” in the park pushed by her daughter with “her dog” Max on her lap. She is survived by her son Rick Felblinger and Deedee Yarborough of St. Cloud, Florida; daughter Nancy Feakes and her husband Danny of Rolla, Missouri; granddaughter Kristy and husband Jeff Bolin and two great-grandchildren of Lexington, Kentucky; grandson Kevin Felblinger, wife Melinda and three great-granddaughters of Kissimmee, Florida; granddaughter Teresa and husband Mike Perkins and two great-grandchildren of Rolla; granddaughter Katie Feakes of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; granddaughter Suzy Feakes of Springfield, Missouri; sister Barbara Clawson and husband Hugh of Oxford, OH and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, sisters Margaret Loge and Dorothea Matix, granddaughter Michelle Feakes, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3:30-6pm on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 21 at the funeral home; burial will be in the Oxford Cemetery. The family has suggested that donations be made to the Oxford United Methodist Church, 14 N. Poplar St., Oxford. Condolences may be sent online to www.oglepaulyoungfuneralhome.com
